We should be aware of
the fact that are many factors to make a diet work towards our aim, be it to
lose weight and reduce triglycerides in our bodies, etc.
This is the reason that
this section is several pages long. More than to provide a specific diet, its
purpose is to develop a wider view of what should be considered in order to
increase the possibilities of success in a diet plan.
The food is something
that nurtures our body. Since before our birth until before our death, food is
a dominant factor necessary in our daily life for our survival.
Food provides us with
the energy necessary for our daily activity and our vital functions, such as
breathing, heart contraction, both bone and muscular mass maintenance,
regulation of our muscular movements, adequate function of our nervous system
and so on and so forth all the organs of our bodies from our skin to the use
of our intellectual functions.
But is much more than a
simple nutrient as we all find pleasure in eating, food makes us happy and
secure, it serves as a means to get together with our friends; it serves as to
make business deals, it makes our vacations more pleasurable and food even has
a religious symbol (fasting, not eating pork, not mixing milk and meat and not
eating solid foods, etc).
