Studies show
that a diet rich in folic acid and group B vitamins can reduce the risk of heart
disease.
Participants in the
study suffered high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes, or a
combination of the three.
Past research has shown
that people with high concentrations of homocistein (an aminoacid) in the blood,
present a higher risk of infarction and/or heart disease.
